Local EdenIt’s from this place at home, quiet and serene. So many things happened there I felt like weren’t real, and shouldn’t be.Regardless they were, and all I had were some crayons, wax crayons, focus, a couple nice markers, and patience. How must much we dream to achieve what we love? It all came back home just for me. Isn’t that such a simple reality that maybe we could all just smell the flowers a bit more?
More old art from high school! Interesting to see where I first started getting serious about art. c: Acrylic monochromatic observational study.

Was this the piece that got me into MassArt? Who knows!

Was thinking about comics (because oh gosh I love comics so much but I have such a hard time committing to an idea before coming up with another one) and came up with an idea of a comic about depression? I think it’s interesting how a lot of people lately have been using comics as way of explaining things, it seems like it’s been getting the job done pretty well. These were just a few quick sketches in Photoshop, but I think if I did it, I’d use ink..

Anywho, had this idea about Atlas suddenly dropping the sky and people dealing with the weight of the world on their shoulders. Depression isn’t very polite, it doesn’t call ahead and schedule an appointment. It’s that telemarketer that catches you off guard when you’ve got twenty other things to juggle.

Maybe I’ll pursue this later.
